A primitive, lovely Mexican clay vase handmade in the workshop Taller Manos Que Ven in Oaxaca, Mexico. Featuring a portrait of a Zapotec woman with braided hair.

The pottery is fired but not glazed so after watering a plant it may sweat and stain the clay. Put a glass jar inside filled with water.

José Garcia is the famous potter patriarch of Taller Manos Que Ven in San Antonino Velasquez, Oaxaca. He has been making ceramics for decades even though he is now blind from glaucoma. His wife, Teresita, his daughter, Sara and son José carry on the creative work in the family taller with him. This vase is Sara’s design.

Size: 6” high x 4” at widest
