The Ana mug is a morning reminder of why handmade pottery is always a good idea. We like it for its simplicity, its beautiful matte color, and for knowing it was created by hand using local clay in Atzompa, Oaxaca.

Because these mugs are made from natural clay they will sweat with liquid. In Oaxaca, even high end restaurants use un-glazed pottery but you can also submerge the cups overnight in water to “seal the pores” of the clay. The color will darken a bit.
