A large, striking vintage jaguar by a member of the Santiago family in La Union, Oaxaca. It’s Mexican folk art at its primitive best. The jaguar’s head is turned slightly to look right at you with huge eyes.

Best estimate is that it’s from the 80s and carved by Quirino Santiago.

There are a few areas of repair work—with a slightly different yellow paint color. Please see last photo.
