These Oaxaca woodcarvings were created by Avelino Perez, a unique carver in the farming village of La Union, Oaxaca.

The expressive carving and the detailed painting of the roosters make for a great addition to your Mexican folk art collection.

Avelino is a favorite wood carver of Modela’s. He carves whimsical creatures and his attention to detail in both his carving and painting is stellar. These roosters were purchased in his home/workshop.
