Hand carved and painted wooden deer made by renowned artisan Gabino Reyes of La Union, Oaxaca. Each little cactus flower is intricately carved on the antlers.

The body is a brown, the inside of the ears are yellow, the nostrils and mouth are hot pink. color while The carved flowers on the antlers are a vibrant red.

Look at the expression on the deer’s face—so sweet!

I saw this deer carved at Gabino’s home and workshop this fall 2024 but it was not painted. I got to choose the paint colors.
