An interesting Sunday in Mexico means spending part of it at the La Lagunilla vintage market. The market is huge with vendors inside and out and is a treasure trove for folk art. This vase was purchased there.

1950s vintage Mexican dripware (majolica) vase with an attached ceramic frog inside. The colors are a rich mix of greens, browns, and yellows. Plus embossed details along the rim.

The frog is attached at the bottom of the vase has holes in it for the placement of your flower stems.

6” x 6” diameter and 4” tall; not for food as the glaze is lead.
