A sweet rabbit ceramic sculpture made in Oaxaca. The sculpture captures the expressive body of the rabbit so well.

Modela noticed this in Fernando Peguero’s workshop immediately this March. Besides for making playful but useful pottery, Fernando is an amazing sculptor whose chosen medium is clay. Fernando lives in Atzompa, Oaxaca—a town that has had potters since the 8th century and continues to be a pottery mecca today.

He is shown on the right in the photo and he is holding a framed photograph of his grandmother, master potter Teodora Blanco and Nelson Rockefeller from the 1960s.
