Taller Manos Que Ven hombre tiny vessels

Taller Manos Que Ven hombre tiny vessels

$28.00

Tiny clay vessels from Oaxaca in the likeness of a man’s face. The cups look like José Garcia—mustache and all—the patriarch potter of Taller Manos Que Ven in Oaxaca.

Use for mezcal or fill with sand and use as an incense holder.

José Garcia is the famous potter patriarch of Taller Manos Que Ven in San Antonino Velasquez, Oaxaca. He has been making ceramics for years and years even though he is now blind from diabetes, like another artist we love—Josefina Aguilar. His daughter and son carry on the creative work in the family taller with him.

Un-glazed. Lead free.

Size: 2” high x 2.25” wide

Care: Fragile. Wash in cold water and dry immediately.
