Handmade walnut bench with hickory legs made by Tom Langdon.

The walnut is from Johnson County and is 2” thick. Langdon cut and finished the walnut with four coats of tung oil.

The hickory legs are 1.5” diameter and finished with tung oil.

Size: 44” long x 9” wide x 14” high

Walnut stool (or table) with black steel legs. The walnut is from Johnson County, Iowa and is 3.5” thick. Finished with tung oil seal coat and urethane top coats.

Legs are steel made from salvaged metal and clear coated for weather proofing.

Size of table: 21” long x 15” wide x 19.5” high.

Size of legs: 2” wide x .25” thick steel legs

Made by Tom Langdon. Langdon sources wood from downed trees due to weather and development. He cuts the slabs with a chainsaw and lets them dry for several years before planing and sanding the wood. He lives in rural Johnson County.
