Gloria Mateo is one of the first barro rojo (red pottery) potters from San Marcos Tlapazola, Oaxaca Modela worked with. She and her sister-in-law, Reyna are accomplished potters in their village. The village is known for their utilitarian pottery using their local clay. The pieces are burnished but there is no glaze.

This lovely bowl with a bird perched on the rim can be used for salsa, or for any other food product. Lead free because it's not glazed. Food safe.

Size: 5" in diameter (not including bird) x 3" high

Care: Hand wash and dry immediately.
