A delightful cobalt blue rabbit carved and hand painted by Oaxacan wood carver Reynaldo Santiago. The red and magenta details are a greta contrast to the blue.

Reynaldo is part of the extended Santiago family in La Union, Oaxaca that has been carving since the 1960s. His work is different than the other Santiagos in the animals he chooses to carve as well as his painting technique.

Purchased directly at Reynaldo’s home/workshop. Modela visits him 2-3 times a year. Signed on the bottom.
