Modela met with Mexican folk artist Concepción Aguilar in her home and workshop this year and special ordered ceramic agaves from the accomplished artistan.

Concepción lives in Ocotlán de Morelos, Oaxaca and is one of four Aguilar sisters who create whimsical pieces in clay that are then painted.

Agaves are what mezcal is made of.
