The heart has a wire embedded for easy hanging. The tunas—fruit—on the cactus are savored by all.

Modela meets with Mexican folk artist Concepción Aguilar in her home and workshop every trip to Oaxaca. Concepción is an accomplished artisan. She lives in Ocotlán de Morelos, Oaxaca and is one of three Aguilar sisters who create whimsical pieces in clay that are then painted.
