Love the sea? Then these charming clay hanging starfish from the workshop of Taller Manos Que Ven in Oaxaca, Mexico are for you.

José Garcia is the famous potter patriarch of Taller Manos Que Ven in San Antonino Velasquez, Oaxaca. He has been making ceramics for decades even though he is now blind from glaucoma. His wife, Teresita, his daughter, Sara and son José carry on the creative work in the family taller with him.

Modela has been visiting their home/workshop for over 15 years.

Each starfish is one-of-a-kind. No two look exactly alike—a welcome attribute of handmade pieces.

A wire is embedded into the clay for hanging.
